Hawaiian Airlines: From 30 June 2025, if you are enrolled in a Membership Rewards program with Hawaiian Airlines, the ability to transfer Membership Rewards® points to Hawaiian Airlines will no longer be available.
Emirates: Membership Rewards points transfers to Emirates will be temporarily unavailable, due to system maintenance by Emirates, between May 28 to late June 25. During this time, our Customer Service team is also unable to assist with redemptions over the phone or chat. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Earn rewards after you apply and are approved for an eligible American Express® Card. You can earn additional Membership Rewards points for just spending on certain categories, depending on your Card. Terms and Conditions apply.
Membership Rewards is the loyalty program of American Express. For every dollar spent on an eligible American Express Card, Membership Rewards points are earned and credited to your Card Account. Points can then be redeemed for travel rewards, shopping rewards, entertainment rewards and more. As long as you’re an active Card Member and your Account is in good standing, points will never expire.
Redeem points by logging in to your Membership Rewards Account where you can browse the different redemption options available. Once logged in, follow the prompts on screen to use points on the redemption option you choose. Membership Rewards points can be redeemed for eligible flights, accommodation, gift cards, shopping and more.
You can redeem points for a range of rewards as listed on this page: gift cards, transfer points to airline and hotel partners, shop with points at select retailers or cover your card charges to pay off your statement. Membership Rewards redemptions span across travel, retail, entertainment and dining categories.
Choose a Card that earns Membership Rewards points here. Depending on your Card, you may be instantly enrolled in Membership Rewards. If your Card is not automatically enrolled in Membership Rewards, you can do so by calling the number on the back of your Card. For Corporate Card holders, you may enrol in Membership Rewards if your company has chosen to participate in the program. Speak to your Program Administrator for more information .
You can earn Membership Rewards points for virtually every dollar you spend on your Card. Use your Card for everyday purchases and watch the points add up. Every time you use your Card, you earn points and there is uncapped earn potential. As long as your Card is in good standing, points earned will never expire.

- Add Additional Cards to your Account so that their spend accumulates points for your Account
- Refer a friend to get Bonus Points
